BTA was founded by the late Ben Thompson, the founder of two substantial architectural firms, a teacher and head of an architectural school, an influential designer, importer, and marketer of furniture and furnishings.
Based upon long experience with the creation of urban places, BTA believes that many different human activities can be accommodated simultaneously in a well-designed project. BTA wants to build a truly global culture – one that respects the contributions of all people and preserves their diversity.
They use social interaction strategies in their design solutions that: welcome participation and interaction, encourage tolerant behavior, relate to successful prototypes, and provide neutral turf to empower visitors.
